End Citizens United Endorses Senator Jon Ossoff For Reelection

End Citizens United (ECU), one of the nation’s leading anti-corruption organizations, today endorsed Senator Jon Ossoff for reelection. Senator Ossoff has been a leader in the fight to root out corruption in Washington and refuses corporate PAC and federal lobbyist contributions, demonstrating that he is focused on fighting for Georgia families.

“Senator Ossoff refuses to take corporate PAC money and federal lobbyist money because he works for the people of Georgia––not the wealthy corporate special interests,” said End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller. “He knows that in order to tackle the biggest issues Georgians face, we have to root out corruption in Washington and make government accountable to the people. At a time when special interests hold unprecedented power over Congress, his leadership and advocacy on these issues is more important than ever. We’re proud to endorse him and we look forward to helping him win.”

“Citizens United, one of the most destructive Supreme Court decisions in American history, unleashed the torrent of secret, corporate, and billionaire money that has deeply corrupted Congress and our political system. I refuse to accept campaign contributions from corporate PACs or federal lobbyists and I am committed to reforming our broken political system. I am grateful for End Citizens United’s support in that mission,” said Senator Ossoff.

Throughout his time in the Senate, Ossoff has championed anti-corruption reforms to eliminate the stranglehold corporate special interests have over Congress. His Ban Corporate PACs Act would end corporate PACs and limit the influence that corporations have over members of Congress. He’s also leading the charge to ban congressional stock trading. Ossoff has proven to be an effective leader, passing into law more standalone bills than any other freshman Senator in his first two years in office.
