End Citizens United Endorses Adelita Grijalva for Arizona’s Seventh Congressional District
Adelita Grijalva is the latest candidate to refuse to take corporate PAC contributions.
End Citizens United, one of the nation’s leading anti-corruption organizations, today endorsed Adelita Grijalva for Arizona’s Seventh Congressional District in the upcoming July special election. Grijalva is refusing corporate PAC contributions in her campaign.
“Adelita Grijalva has spent her career working to help better the lives of working families, bringing people together to tackle the most pressing issues facing Southern Arizona like affordable housing, water conservation, and environmental preservation,” said End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller. “We know that Adelita will bring that fight to Congress and take on the rampant chaos, corruption, and self-dealing that’s come to define the Republican-held House. She has demonstrated her commitment to her constituents by refusing to take any money from corporate PACs. End Citizens United is proud to endorse Adelita Grijalva and we look forward to helping her win.”
“Southern Arizona deserves a bold, progressive voice who will always do what’s best for them and stand up against the MAGA extremists selling them out to the ultra-wealthy,” said Adelita Grijalva. “I’m refusing corporate PAC money because our community deserves a representative who answers to them—not to powerful special interests. I am grateful for the support of End Citizens United and their work to unrig our political system so that money can no longer drown out the voices of the American people.”
From the Tucson Unified School District Governing Board to the Pima County Board of Supervisors, Grijalva has spent her career as a dedicated public servant in Southern Arizona. She has championed historic investments in affordable housing, water conservation, environmental preservation, and introduced solutions to make life more affordable for working families, including starting Pima County’s first free preschool program for low and middle income families. In Congress, Grijalva will defend important programs like Medicaid and Social Security from Republican attacks and support working people by funding public education, lowering housing costs, and fighting for environmental justice.
