End Citizens United Endorses Jose Javier Rodríguez for Florida Attorney General

End Citizens United (ECU), a leading national anti-corruption organization, today endorsed Jose Javier Rodríguez for Florida Attorney General. Rodríguez has a strong record of cracking down on corruption as a state senator and advocating for working families while serving in the U.S. Department of Labor.

“Jose Javier Rodríguez’s proven record of putting the public interest over special interests makes him exceptionally qualified to be Florida’s next people’s lawyer,” said End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller. “As costs go up, we need to make sure corrupt politicians and corporations are held accountable. Sen. Rodríguez is deeply committed to cleaning up government and making sure it works for the people. We are proud to endorse him and look forward to helping him win in November.”

“Powerful special interests spend enormous sums of money to influence elections and control our political system,” said Jose Javier Rodríguez. “That’s why we need groups like End Citizens United and elected officials who will stand up to corporate greed. I’m ready to take on the corrupt interests that are making life unaffordable for so many hard-working Floridians. I’m grateful for the endorsement of End Citizens United and look forward to working with them to root out corruption once and for all.”

Jose Javier Rodríguez has always fought for his community, from defending workers against wage theft as a legal aid attorney to taking on corruption as a member of the Florida House and Senate. He also served as an Assistant Secretary of Labor leading initiatives to expand workplace protections and increase economic opportunity. He is committed to lowering costs for Floridians by standing up against the greed of big corporations and special interests.
