Lead with Reform

The 2026 midterm elections will be a referendum on a broken system. Voters across the political spectrum, especially Independents and swing voters, are hungry for change. They overwhelmingly see corruption, self-dealing, and special interest influence as the root cause of Washington’s failures.

To meet this moment, we’re calling on elected officials and candidates to Unrig Washington. This End Citizens United program is a bold, public commitment to clean up Washington by supporting real anti-corruption reforms and leading by example.

Ban Congressional Stock Trading: Support legislation to prohibit Members of Congress from trading individual stocks. Public office is a place to serve, not to profit.
Refuse Corporate PAC Money: Reject all contributions from corporate PACs to send a clear message: Elected officials' priorities are the people, not powerful corporations or special interests.
Crack Down on Dark Money: Fight to end the flood of undisclosed political spending by supporting legislation to expose secret donors, increase transparency, and fix the FEC to have a cop on the beat. It's time to end the dominance of billionaire-funded special interest groups.

Why Now? Because Voters Demand It

A recent End Citizens United battleground poll showed:

80% of voters believe Washington has serious problems that need fixing.
A majority say reducing corruption should be a top priority for Congress.
Democrats currently trail Republicans on voter trust to tackle corruption, yet when Democrats run on reform, they gain 7 points on the generic ballot.

By joining the Unrig Washington program, elected officials and candidates are proving that they are on the side of change and against a rigged system voters desperately want fixed.
