ECU Endorses AZ Attorney General Kris Mayes for Re-election
End Citizens United (ECU), a leading national anti-corruption organization, today announced its endorsement of Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes for re-election. Mayes has pledged to reject corporate PAC donations, a promise that underscores her dedication to prioritizing the needs of families and holding powerful interests in check.
“Attorney General Mayes has earned her stripes as one of Arizona’s fiercest consumer advocates,” said End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller. “As Arizona’s chief law enforcement officer—and throughout her long career in public service—she has proven herself a tireless fighter for Arizona families, willing to take on greedy corporations and defend everyday people against powerful special interests. We are proud to support her and help keep her in office so she can continue defending Arizonans, challenging corporate greed, and protecting the public from those who put profits over people.”
“Democracy should never be for sale,” said Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes. “End Citizens United fights the outsized influence of wealthy special interests—the same forces that too often harm consumers and drown out voters. I’m honored by their endorsement and will keep working to protect Arizonans, enforce our laws, and keep our politics accountable to the people.”
Over the summer, ECU President Tiffany Muller joined Attorney General Mayes, Tucson Mayor Regina Romero, then–congressional candidate Adelita Grijalva, and Emma Brown, Executive Director of GIFFORDS—the national gun violence prevention organization founded by former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords—for a town hall at Pima Community College in Tuscon focused on confronting the gun lobby and holding lawmakers accountable for prioritizing dark money interests over public safety.
