End Citizens United Endorses Ethan Corson for Kansas Governor
End Citizens United (ECU), a leading national anti-corruption organization, today endorsed Kansas State Senator Ethan Corson in the Kansas gubernatorial election.
“Kansas needs a governor who will continue to stand up to corruption in Topeka and put the interests of working families ahead of wealthy donors and corporations,” said End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller. “State Senator Ethan Corson has shown he is ready to do exactly that. In the state legislature, he has pushed for greater transparency and accountability instead of letting special interests dictate the agenda. He has the independence and integrity to bring about the type of change Kansas families are demanding. We are proud to endorse State Senator Corson and we look forward to helping him win.”
“I’m honored to earn the endorsement of End Citizens United,” said State Senator Ethan Corson. “Working families deserve a governor who is accountable to them. That’s why I’m committed to strengthening ethics rules, reducing conflicts of interest, and curbing dark money influence so our government works for Kansans, not corporations.”
Corson supports reforms aimed at making government more accountable and responsive to the people it’s supposed to serve. This includes shining a light on money in politics, protecting voting rights, and limiting the influence of lobbyists. He believes tackling corruption in Topeka will make it possible to lower costs, cut taxes for working families, improve public education access and quality, and bring jobs to the state.
