End Citizens United Endorses Jason Esteves for Georgia Governor
End Citizens United (ECU), a leading national anti-corruption organization, today endorsed Jason Esteves in the Georgia gubernatorial election.
“There is no stronger candidate than Jason Esteves to lead Georgia forward and give Democrats the best opportunity to win the governor’s office,” said End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller. “Jason understands the economic pressures working families are facing across Georgia under Donald Trump and Republicans’ failed leadership, and has shown he can bring people together around practical solutions that expand opportunity. His commitment to taking on corruption and rejecting the influence of powerful special interests reflects the kind of leadership Georgia families are looking for. We’re proud to endorse Jason Esteves, and we look forward to helping him win.”
“I’m honored to have the endorsement of End Citizens United,” said Jason Esteves. “Working families in Georgia are tired of backroom politics and politicians who answer to insiders instead of the people. Georgians are paying more for everyday necessities yet they’re getting less and wondering why their leaders aren’t fighting for change. I’m running to lower costs, expand opportunity, and make sure that government works for the people it’s supposed to serve––not the billionaires and special interests. I’m grateful to have End Citizens United’s support as we work to restore trust and accountability in the governor’s office.”
Esteves is running for governor with a focus on lowering the cost of living for every Georgian. His agenda includes bringing down housing costs, expanding access to Medicaid and affordable health care, creating universal child care, and making historic investments in public education and workforce opportunities. As a former educator, Chair of the Atlanta Public Schools Board of Education, and State Senator, Jason has delivered urgent tax relief for seniors, raised graduation rates, and expanded healthcare access for state employees and teachers. He has emphasized addressing the role large corporations play in driving costs, including efforts to curb housing speculation that puts homeownership out of reach for working families.
