End Citizens United Endorses JoAnna Mendoza for Arizona's 6th Congressional District

End Citizens United (ECU), a leading national anti-corruption organization, today endorsed JoAnna Mendoza for Arizona’s 6th Congressional District. Mendoza is running to take on corruption in Washington, lower costs for working families, and strengthen public safety in the district.

“JoAnna Mendoza understands that when politicians are beholden to their special interest donors, working families are left to pay the price for corporate greed,” said End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller. “After two decades of military service, she is answering the call to serve again to give a voice to Arizonans who have been devastated by Rep. Juan Ciscomani’s failed leadership. Unlike him, JoAnna can’t be bought and she’ll bring a service-first approach that puts people and community ahead of donors. We are proud to endorse JoAnna Mendoza and look forward to helping her win.”

“I’m proud to receive the endorsement of End Citizens United,” said JoAnna Mendoza. “Dark money and special interests have too much influence over who represents us, and I’m running to serve the people of this district, not whoever can write the biggest check. It’s an honor to work with End Citizens United, and I look forward to continuing to partner with them in this race.”

JoAnna Mendoza has dedicated her entire career to public service, from her two decades in the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps to working as a nonprofit leader and veteran advocate. She has always focused on delivering for people in her community, whether it be in her hometown of Eloy or beyond. She is the opposite of her opponent, Rep. Juan Ciscomani, who recently earned a spot on ECU’s 2026 Most Corrupt List for taking large donations from individuals who had a direct stake in his legislative activity. For similar reasons, Ciscomani received an F on ECU’s 2026 Anti-Corruption Scorecard. Ciscomani has also undermined public safety by voting with the gun lobby, while Mendoza is joining ECU and GIFFORDS for a town hall this week to discuss how to stop corruption, improve public safety, and protect Arizonans from gun violence.

Since its founding in 2015, ECU has had over 1.4 million donors with an average donation of just $14. The group has more than four million members nationwide and is one of the nation’s leading anti-corruption organizations.
