End Citizens United Endorses Nevada Secretary of State Cisco Aguilar for Reelection
End Citizens United, a leading national anti-corruption organization, today announced its endorsement of Nevada Secretary of State Cisco Aguilar for reelection.
“In Nevada and across the country, the right to vote is under attack at the highest levels of government. Now more than ever, we need election officials like Secretary Aguilar — leaders with the backbone to push back against efforts to undermine democracy and block access to the ballot box,” said End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller. “We proudly endorse Secretary Aguilar for reelection and will continue standing with him to defend our democracy and ensure every voter’s voice is heard.”
“The one time we are all equal in this country, regardless of our situation, who we are, or where we come from, is at the ballot box,” Secretary Cisco Aguilar said. “As we fight against renewed assaults on our democracy and the voting rights of Nevadans, I’m proud to have End Citizens United as a partner.”
As Secretary of State, Aguilar oversaw the 2024 election in Nevada, which produced the fourth-highest youth voter turnout in the nation and a 34% increase in Native American turnout. He has refused to provide confidential voter data to the federal government despite repeated threats, and will continue to stand unwavering for Nevada voters against the pressure placed on the swing state. He recently laid out the real dangers of the SAVE America Act in a forceful op-ed. He has consistently defended Nevada voters against escalating attacks from the Trump administration.
Last year, ECU President Tiffany Muller hosted Secretary Aguilar and a bipartisan panel of state lawmakers for a town hall event focused on government transparency and combating political corruption in Nevada. The discussion highlighted recent legislative reforms in Nevada, including a sweeping bipartisan campaign finance reform measure designed to make political spending more transparent, curb corruption, and protect Nevada elections from undue donor influence. ECU also played an important role in Aguilar’s successful campaign in 2022. The group, along with partners, launched several television ad campaigns in Nevada to showcase how Aguilar would protect the freedom to vote.
