End Citizens United Endorses Senator Ed Markey for Reelection in Massachusetts
End Citizens United (ECU), a leading national anti-corruption organization, today endorsed Senator Ed Markey for reelection in Massachusetts. Sen. Markey has an extensive record of fighting to root out corruption and serving as a voice for working families in Congress.
“Senator Markey is a strong anti-corruption champion who is on the front lines defending against attacks on our democracy,” said End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller. “At a time when corporations have captured the legislative process in order to maintain high prices on everything from prescription drugs to groceries, we need leaders like Senator Markey. He understands that working people are too often drowned out in politics by special interests, and he is fully committed to fighting for their fair representation. We are proud to endorse him for reelection.”
“It’s an honor to be endorsed by End Citizens United,” said Senator Ed Markey. “Corruption in our government has reached an all-time high, and hard-working Americans are paying the price. I will continue working to pass legislation that puts families first and curbs the influence of corporate special interests. It’s time to bring accountability back to Congress, and I’m grateful to be working with End Citizens United to make that happen.”
Sen. Markey earned an A+ on ECU’s 2026 Anti-Corruption Scorecard for his commitment to reform and holding himself to the highest ethical standards. He has called to reverse the Citizens United decision to get Big Money out of politics and is a cosponsor of the DISCLOSE Act, which proposes stronger campaign fundraising disclosure laws. He also co-sponsored the Freedom to Vote Act, landmark legislation that would have strengthened campaign finance rules and expanded access to the ballot box.
