End Citizens United Endorses Senator John Hickenlooper for Reelection
End Citizens United (ECU), a leading national anti-corruption organization, today announced its endorsement of Colorado Senator John Hickenlooper for reelection. Senator Hickenlooper, first endorsed by ECU during his successful 2020 campaign, has once again pledged to reject corporate PAC money, underscoring his commitment to standing up to corporate special interests.
“John Hickenlooper has a strong record of putting everyday Coloradans first and working to end the influence of corporate special interests in Washington,” said End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller. “Hickenlooper was an early adopter of the No Corporate PAC pledge in 2019 and continues to reject corporate campaign donations. He cosponsored the For the People Act to ban dark money. And as Governor, he implemented vote by mail to make voting safe and easy for every Coloradan. We need to re-elect John Hickenlooper to continue leading the fight to get big money out of politics, and ensure the right to vote is protected for everyone. End Citizens United is proud to endorse Hickenlooper’s campaign.”
“People — not corporations — should power our political campaigns,” said Senator John Hickenlooper. “Corporations are not people — they don’t have any right to unlimited spending, outside of federal limitations. It’s well past time to get big money out of politics and protect our democracy.”
In his successful 2020 U.S. Senate campaign, ECU endorsed Senator Hickenlooper and welcomed his commitment to the No Corporate PAC pledge. Since arriving in Congress, Sen. Hickenlooper has introduced and supported legislation to strengthen voting access, protect election integrity, and restrict presidential authority — including the Freedom to Vote Act and the Insurrection Act of 2025. He also cosponsored the For the People Act, a historic bill aimed at expanding voting rights and reforming campaign finance laws to ensure fairer elections.
