End Citizens United Endorses State Representative Aftyn Behn for Tennessee’s 7th Congressional District

End Citizens United (ECU), a leading national anti-corruption organization, today announced its endorsement of Tennessee State Representative Aftyn Behn in the special election for Tennessee’s 7th congressional district. Behn recently joined ECU’s “Unrig Washington” initiative—a bold new standard for Democratic congressional candidates to demonstrate their commitment to cleaning up Washington and putting voters first.

“We’re proud to stand with Aftyn Behn for Congress,” said End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller. “Everyday Tennesseans are paying the price for Washington’s corruption—and Aftyn is ready to fight back. She has always put people above special interests, refuses corporate PAC money, and is committed to cracking down on dark money in politics. We’re proud to endorse her as she continues standing up for working families and holding powerful interests accountable.”

“Tennesseans are tired of watching billionaires and corporate PACs buy our democracy out from under us,” said Tennessee State Representative Aftyn Behn. “I’m grateful for the End Citizens United’s endorsement because I’ve spent my entire life challenging corporate power. Our government should work for our people, not the highest bidder.”

By joining ECU’s “Unrig Washington” campaign earlier this year, State Rep. Behn became one of more than 100 Democratic Congressional candidates committed to restoring trust and accountability in government. The nationwide effort pushes three key reforms—banning congressional stock trading, refusing corporate PAC money, and cracking down on dark money in politics.
