End Citizens United Congratulates Adelita Grijalva on Critical Win in AZ-07

End Citizens United (ECU) President Tiffany Muller issued the following statement congratulating Representative-elect Adelita Grijalva on her special election victory in Arizona’s 7th Congressional District:

“Congratulations to Representative-elect Grijalva on a hard-fought and well-deserved win. From day one, she made a choice that defined her campaign––rejecting corporate PAC money and putting people first. Voters rewarded that commitment with a decisive victory.

“This election is a reminder that voters are demanding leaders who will fight for them, not the billionaire class and special interests. Her victory narrows the Republicans’ House majority and proves that voters will rally behind candidates who take on corruption and put working families at the center of their campaigns.

“Representative-elect Grijalva will be a powerful voice in Congress for accountability, transparency, and a government that answers to the people. We’re proud to have supported her campaign, and we look forward to working with her as she takes on corruption and fights for Arizona families.”

ECU endorsed Grijalva in June, citing her pledge to refuse corporate PAC contributions in her campaign. Since then, ECU President Tiffany Muller traveled to Arizona to host a town hall-style event with her, highlighted her candidacy in a Substack interview, and consistently raised awareness about her campaign. Grijalva was among the first candidates to sign onto the Unrig Washington commitment, End Citizens United’s newest effort to get Democrats to run on an anti-corruption platform. The initiative calls on candidates to ban congressional stock trading, reject corporate PAC money, and crack down on dark money.
