End Citizens United Congratulates Illinois Lieutenant Governor Julianna Stratton on Democratic Senate Nomination

End Citizens United (ECU) President Tiffany Muller issued the below statement congratulating Illinois Lieutenant Governor Julianna Stratton on winning the Democratic primary for U.S. Senate in Illinois:

“We are thrilled to congratulate Lieutenant Governor Stratton on her hard-earned victory tonight,” said End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller. “Illinois voters sent a loud and clear message that they want a leader who will clean up corruption and stand up to powerful corporate special interests. Lieutenant Governor Stratton ran this campaign the right way. Even as crypto super PACs spent millions to defeat her, she stood firm and proved that candidates who refuse corporate money can win in tough races when they run against corruption. We are proud to support her and look forward to helping her become the next U.S. Senator from Illinois.”

ECU endorsed Stratton in November 2025, citing her strong commitment to rooting out corruption in government. ECU hosted a Substack conversation with Stratton in February, where she discussed her reform agenda and campaign priorities. ECU President Tiffany Muller also spoke at a recent Stratton campaign rally in Chicago to get out the vote before the primary election, alongside Sen. Elizabeth Warren. Stratton is part of Unrig Washington, a program ECU started in which candidates reject corporate PAC money, support a ban on congressional stock trading, and work to end dark money in politics. Her refusal to take corporate PAC money became a defining message of the campaign and helped draw a powerful contrast with her opponents, tapping into voters’ frustration with corruption and the influence of corporations in Washington.
