ECU Endorses State Rep. Kaela Berg in MN-02

End Citizens United (ECU), a leading national anti-corruption organization, today endorsed State Representative Kaela Berg in Minnesota’s 2nd Congressional District. Berg is part of Unrig Washington, a program launched by ECU in which candidates reject corporate PAC money, support a ban on congressional stock trading, and work to end dark money in politics.

“Minnesotans need and deserve a champion like Kaela Berg, someone who will stand up to wealthy special interests and fight for working families,” said End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller. “She refuses to take a dime of corporate PAC money, so voters can trust that she works for them. Rep. Berg is seasoned in securing major wins for her community as a state representative and former union organizer, and she will bring that same dedication to Congress. We are proud to endorse her and look forward to getting her elected in November.”

“I’m proud to have the endorsement of End Citizens United,” said Minnesota State Representative Kaela Berg. “We have too many self-serving politicians in Washington who use public office for personal benefit while allowing big companies to hike up prices. It’s the reason people in Minnesota are dealing with high costs and lack access to basic needs like health care. We have to root out corruption and restore accountability to politics, which is why I’m grateful to be working with End Citizens United.”

State Rep. Kaela Berg has advocated for working families through her flight attendant union and in the state legislature. She is committed to reforms that would counter corruption and lower the costs of groceries, utilities, and other critical needs. Rep. Berg is also part of ECU’s Unrig Washington program, where she joins hundreds of Democratic candidates in rejecting corporate PAC money, supporting a ban on congressional stock trading, and cracking down on dark money in politics.
