End Citizens United Endorses Dan Osborn for Senate
End Citizens United (ECU), a leading national anti-corruption organization, today endorsed Dan Osborn for U.S. Senate in Nebraska. Osborn has signed onto Unrig Washington, a coalition launched by ECU in which candidates reject corporate PAC money, support a ban on congressional stock trading, and work to end dark money in politics.
“When billionaires and corporate interests dominate Washington, working families are the ones who pay the price,” said End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller. “Dan Osborn understands that corruption in Washington is tied directly to rising costs, stagnant wages, and policies that leave working families behind. He refuses corporate PAC money because he believes elected officials should answer to the people they represent, not corporate donors or special interests. We’re proud to endorse Dan and look forward to helping him win in November.
“It's an honor to receive the endorsement of End Citizens United,” said Dan Osborn. “When people ask me what my #1 priority would be in the Senate, I always say, ‘getting money out of politics.’ When multi-billion-dollar corporations can bombard the airwaves with millions in ads, they drown out voters’ voices. And when corporations own politicians, working families pay the price: stagnant wages, rising costs, and policies written for the donor class instead of the people who actually sent these politicians to Washington. I'm proud to join the Unrig Washington effort and fight to give this democracy back to the people it belongs to.”
Dan Osborn is running for Senate to take on what he calls a billionaire economy that rewards wealthy insiders at the expense of working families. His agenda is focused on cutting taxes for the middle class and small businesses, closing loopholes for corporations, ending wasteful government handouts to Big Pharma, and preventing billionaires from buying political access and influence.
Osborn is part of ECU’s Unrig Washington program, where he joins over 120 candidates and counting in rejecting corporate PAC money, supporting a ban on congressional stock trading, and promising to crack down on dark money in politics.
