Lexington, KY - Today, Democratic nominee for Kentucky’s 6th Congressional District and Navy veteran, Zach Dembo, and the President of End Citizens United, Tiffany Muller, hosted a town hall where they discussed getting dark money out of politics and fighting the corruption in Congress that’s costing Kentucky families so much.

The two took questions from the audience and spoke about Dembo’s plan to ban Members of Congress from trading stocks, eliminate dark money super PACs, and close the revolving door between Congress and K street.

“Central Kentuckians are sick and tired of corrupt career politicians who are more focused on enriching themselves than fighting for the people they’re supposed to represent - and it’s costing all of us. This corrupt system is allowed to continue because politicians like my opponent take corporate PAC money and do their bidding in Congress,” said Zach Dembo, former federal prosecutor and candidate for Congress. “I’m honored to have the endorsement of End Citizens United and I look forward to working side by side with them to get money out of politics and reform this corrupt system in Congress.”

“Washington is doing nothing but serving its Big Money donors, and Kentucky families are paying the price,” said End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller. “The last thing this district needs is another Republican rubber stamping policies that enrich corporations and billionaires while costs keep climbing for working people. We’re excited to finally see someone who cares about this district. Zach Dembo is going to flip this seat because he’s ready to fight corruption and champion working people in Congress. It was great to join him for this town hall about how we can unrig the system and bring true ethics reform to our government.”
