PRESS RELEASE

End Citizens United Endorses State Sen. Nicole Cannizzaro for Nevada Attorney General

End Citizens United (ECU), a leading national anti-corruption organization, today endorsed Nevada State Senator Nicole Cannizzaro for Attorney General. Sen. Cannizzaro has built a strong record of fighting for Nevada families, serving four consecutive terms as Majority Leader of the State Senate.

“Nicole Cannizzaro knows how to take on the most powerful players in Nevadan politics and win,” said End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller. “She has always used her voice to champion working people, from prosecuting huge fraud cases to taking on greedy corporate investors who hiked housing prices. She is ready to put people over profit, defend the right to vote, and fight the corruption that has allowed corporations to gouge Nevadans. We are proud to endorse Sen. Cannizzaro and look forward to helping her win in November.”

“Big corporations are raking in profits at the expense of our communities, and Donald Trump has repeatedly given them the green light,” said Nevada Senate Majority Leader Nicole Cannizzaro. “It’s past time to crack down on these corrupt actors. I’m committed to advocating for Nevada families and holding special interests accountable for the harm they have caused. I’m grateful for the endorsement of End Citizens United, and I look forward to partnering with them to protect hardworking Nevadans.”

As a Chief Deputy District Attorney who spent over a decade as a prosecutor in Clark County, State Senator Nicole Cannizzaro worked to dismantle a massive identity theft ring operating in Las Vegas. She has prosecuted major racketeering and fraud causes, so she knows how to stop corrupt actors from manipulating the political system. In the State Senate, she has stood up to corporate lobbies, including out-of-state investors who were buying up local housing stock and driving up prices for residents.
