PRESS RELEASE

End Citizens United Endorses Blake Gendebien in New York’s 21st Congressional District

End Citizens United (ECU), a leading national anti-corruption organization, today endorsed Blake Gendebien in New York’s 21st Congressional District. He is turning a deep-red district competitive by calling out the Republican corruption that has driven up costs for residents.

“Blake Gendebien understands the real consequences of the corruption coming out of Washington,” said End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller. “Every time Republicans in Congress side with their big donors, New Yorkers get left behind. Every time they put corporate profit over constituents, working families see their costs rise. That’s why Blake is backing reforms to unrig this system, like banning congressional stock trading. We’re proud to support Blake and look forward to helping send him to Congress.”

“Washington isn’t working for everyday people, and it’s because politicians are only serving the highest bidder,” said Blake Gendebien. “It’s time to clean up the corruption that has allowed powerful interests to pad their bottom lines at the expense of working people. I’m thankful for the endorsement of End Citizens United and look forward to working with them to make government accountable to the people. I’m ready to fight for the people of New York’s 21st district and take on special interests so that we can finally bring down devastating costs.”

Blake Gendebien is running on a platform of lowering costs and advocating for an economy that works for everyday people, not for corporate and special interests. He is a second-generation dairy farmer in the North Country and was elected by fellow farmers to serve as the Vice Chair of the Cooperative Board of Agri-Mark. He and his wife co-founded an organization that supports children suffering from pediatric cancer throughout Northern New York.
