End Citizens United Endorses Dr. Annie Andrews for U.S. Senate in South Carolina
End Citizens United (ECU), a leading national anti-corruption organization, today endorsed Dr. Annie Andrews for U.S. Senate in South Carolina. Andrews is part of ECU’s Unrig Washington program for candidates who reject corporate PAC money, support a ban on congressional stock trading, and work to end dark money in politics.
“Dr. Annie Andrews has seen firsthand what happens when Big Pharma and special interests run Washington. Patients can’t afford the care they need and families go broke, while politicians like Senator Lindsey Graham look the other way. She’s running to stop that corruption,” said End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller. “Dr. Andrews refuses to take a dime from corporate PACs because she only answers to South Carolinians, not to any wealthy donor. It’s time to hold Senator Graham accountable for the corruption he has enabled and benefitted from and elect someone who will actually fight for working families. We are proud to endorse Dr. Andrews and look forward to helping her win in November.”
“I’m honored to have the endorsement of End Citizens United,” said Dr. Annie Andrews. “This campaign is about fighting for the hard-working people who call South Carolina home, not protecting the interests of powerful insiders. Unlike Senator Graham, I will not sell out to big money or take any corporate PAC money. I believe in building a government that works for all of us. I look forward to working with End Citizens United to rein in the influence of corporations and billionaires in our elections.”
Dr. Annie Andrews has served her community as a pediatrician for almost 20 years, and she is running for the Senate to take on the corrupt culture in Washington. Her opponent, Senator Lindsey Graham, is a Washington insider who has remained in office for decades and works solely to protect his biggest donors. Andrews has joined ECU’s Unrig Washington program, alongside over 250 Democratic candidates in rejecting corporate PAC money, supporting a ban on congressional stock trading, and cracking down on dark money in politics.
