The redistricting effort is reportedly under direct pressure from Donald Trump’s political team to blunt the anticipated electoral impact of the Republican billionaire tax giveaway on the backs of working families:

“This is a blatant partisan power grab by Republicans desperate to avoid the electoral fallout of slashing health care and food assistance for millions of Americans to pay back their billionaire backers for hundreds of millions of dollars in campaign contributions in 2024. The timing of this shameful attempt to rig congressional maps and silence voters couldn’t be more disgraceful.
