PRESS RELEASE

End Citizens United Endorses Nate Willems for Iowa Attorney General

End Citizens United (ECU), a leading national anti-corruption organization, today endorsed Nate Willems for Iowa Attorney General. Willems is focused on rooting out the influence of corporate greed in politics and ensuring the law works for Iowans, not special interests.

“Costs across Iowa are hurting families because corporations have been allowed to gouge the public over and over,” said End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller. “Iowans are ready to see some accountability, and Nate Willems is ready to fight for it. Nate is a lifelong advocate for working families and understands the challenges that people are facing because of rampant corruption. We’re proud to be backing him and look forward to helping him win.”

“Iowans are tired of elected officials who look out for greedy corporations and political insiders instead of protecting working families who are playing by the rules,” said Nate Willems. “The reform we need begins with cracking down on those powerful interests. It’s time to hold greedy corporations accountable when they pollute our environment, cheat workers out of what they're owed, or price gouge. We need an attorney general who will fight back against this broken system and I’m grateful to have End Citizens United's partnership and support in delivering that for Iowa.”

Nate Willems has championed working families as a labor attorney, advocating for the rights of tens of thousands of Iowans. He has secured wins against corporations that violate workers’ rights, neglect laws around overtime pay and job safety, and cheat people out of benefits. His record of standing up for working people and for a fairer, less corrupt system has become central to his campaign for Attorney General.
