Kennebunk, ME — End Citizens United, U.S. Senate candidate Troy Jackson, and Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) rallied Mainers at a town hall on the cost of corruption. More than 350 Mainers joined the conversation about how to stop billionaires and corporations from using Big Money to rig policy in Washington.

ECU President Tiffany Muller moderated the conversation with Jackson and Senator Warren, which focused on how to build a system that answers to working families instead of special interests. Jackson and Sen. Warren also took live questions from the audience.

“Washington is full of politicians who will happily serve the highest bidder, and chief among them is Senator Susan Collins,” said End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller. “When politicians like Susan Collins answer to big donors, Mainers pay the price at the pharmacy, at the grocery store, and on their energy bills. Mainers are demanding better, and that’s what makes Troy Jackson’s campaign stand out. Troy has built a movement across this state rooted in real integrity and accountability. He’s ready to join leaders like Senator Warren in fighting for change in Washington. Mainers deserve a senator who works for them. Troy Jackson will be that senator.”

“The people of Maine have the opportunity to stop Trump’s rubber stamp in the Senate this November by voting for Troy Jackson,” said U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren. “I’m grateful for End Citizens United for mobilizing voters nationwide to fight back against Trump’s corruption driving costs higher for families.”

“I believe the government should answer to the people, not the big special interests,” said Troy Jackson. “It’s the pathway to lowering the price of prescription drugs, fighting for a fair tax system, and protecting the rights of working Mainers. Thank you to Senator Warren and End Citizens United for being part of this important town hall. It’s past time we tackle corruption head-on and crack down on the influence that billionaires have over our policies today.”

Troy Jackson and Senator Warren have both committed to rejecting corporate PAC money, supporting a ban on congressional stock trading, and helping get dark money out of politics as part of ECU’s Unrig Washington program. In contrast, Senator Susan Collins has leveraged her power to rake in every possible benefit, including a scandal that prompted a years-long FBI investigation, and earned a spot on ECU’s 2026 Most Corrupt Politicians List.
