End Citizens United Endorses Josh Turek for U.S. Senate in Iowa
End Citizens United (ECU), a leading national anti-corruption organization, today endorsed Iowa Representative Josh Turek for U.S. Senate. Turek is part of ECU’s Unrig Washington program for candidates that reject corporate PAC money, support a ban on congressional stock trading, and work to end dark money in politics.
“Iowans are fed up with the rising cost of living and a system flooded with Big Money that works for special interests but not for them,” said End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller. “Josh Turek gets it. He has spent his career in the statehouse standing up for Iowa’s working families, not corporate executives or wealthy donors, and he's refusing corporate PAC money to prove it. Representative Turek is a fighter and he is ready to bring this fight against corruption and costs to Congress, and we are proud to endorse him.”
“I’m grateful for the endorsement of End Citizens United,” said State Representative Josh Turek. “From Des Moines to Washington, we have seen too many corrupt policies that protect those in power while hurting working people. I will be a U.S. Senator for Iowa and Iowans, laser-focused on lowering costs on everything from housing and healthcare to gas and groceries. I look forward to working with End Citizens United to rebuild a system that truly serves the public.”
Josh Turek is a proven leader in the Iowa House, where he has advocated for more affordability on behalf of working families. His campaign for U.S. Senate focuses on tackling corruption in Washington. In April, he joined ECU and Progress Iowa for a first-of-its-kind Senate forum during the Democratic primary, engaging in a conversation centered around campaign finance reform and public accountability. Turek is also part of ECU’s Unrig Washington program, where he joins over 200 Democratic candidates in rejecting corporate PAC money, supporting a ban on congressional stock trading, and cracking down on dark money in politics.
