PRESS RELEASE

End Citizens United Endorses Amanda Gonzalez for Colorado Secretary of State

End Citizens United (ECU), a leading national anti-corruption organization, today endorsed Amanda Gonzalez for Colorado Secretary of State. Gonzalez has helped expand voting rights across Colorado and pledged to reject corporate PAC money.

“Amanda Gonzalez champions a voting system that protects the rights of Coloradans and safeguards against greedy special interests,” said End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller. “She knows that access to mail ballots is facing a critical moment across the country, and she’s determined to ensure all Coloradans can continue voting without political interference. Amanda has always been committed to fighting for everyday people and stands up against the corporate special interests and billionaires. We’re proud to be supporting her and look forward to helping her win in November.”

“The only group that should shape the outcome of elections is the voters,” said Amanda Gonzalez. “But we are facing threats from greedy corporations, wealthy special interests, and corrupt actors who are trying to take power away from the people. As Secretary of State, I will focus on defending and strengthening the system of voting rights that we’ve spent decades building for Coloradans. I’m grateful to be endorsed by End Citizens United and look forward to working with them to stand up for voters across our state.”

Amanda Gonzalez has spent her career fighting for a system of voting rights that all Coloradans can access, which includes leading the fight for voting access as Executive Director of Colorado Common Cause and serving as Jefferson County Clerk. She has helped author legislation that expanded automatic voter registration, increased access to translated ballots, ended partisan gerrymandering, and implemented in-person voting at every county jail in the state. Gonzalez is a committed advocate for Colorado communities and rejects corporate PAC money.
