ECU Endorses Sandra Jauregui for Lt. Governor
End Citizens United (ECU), a leading national anti-corruption organization, today endorsed State Assemblymember Sandra Jauregui for Nevada Lieutenant Governor. She has stood up to powerful special interests in the state assembly for nearly ten years, including as the current Democratic Majority Leader.
“Sandra Jauregui is a leader who does not back down to corrupt special interests,” said End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller. “She understands that working families pay the price when the wealthy and powerful buy access and influence in Carson City. Stavros Anthony, with his long record of ethics issues, shows that he is only looking out for himself. Unlike Anthony, Assemblymember Jauregui will bring real integrity and reform to public office. We are proud to endorse her and look forward to helping her win in November.”
“While Nevada families are struggling with higher prices, fewer hours and lower wages, Stavros Anthony has turned his back on us, and been found guilty of violating Nevada ethics laws and using taxpayer dollars to create a personal slush fund,” said Nevada Assemblymember Sandra Jauregui. “The MAGA Culture of Corruption that has taken hold of our country, from Washington D.C. to Carson City, is why Nevadans are finding it harder to buy homes, afford their health care, and live in truly safe communities. I'm proud to have the support and partnership of End Citizens United in this campaign as I fight to end this MAGA culture of corruption and champion the needs of working families.”
Nevada Assemblymember Sandra Jauregui has always championed working families, from working to lower the cost of health care across the state to expanding affordable housing and cracking down on private equity buying up our homes. She is running on a platform to end the MAGA culture of corruption and promises to fight for the interests of working families. Her opponent, Republican Stavros Anthony, has been found guilty of violating ethics laws and is facing multiple allegations of using taxpayer funded staff and official media to push his personal political and financial interests.
