End Citizens United Congratulates Deb Haaland on Primary Win in New Mexico Gubernatorial Election

End Citizens United (ECU) President Tiffany Muller issued the following statement congratulating ECU-endorsed former Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland on winning the Democratic nomination in New Mexico’s gubernatorial election:

“We are excited to congratulate Deb Haaland on this well-deserved victory. Her campaign is proof that voters are looking for integrity and a real commitment to accountability in their next leader. Deb has been an unwavering advocate for working families in national politics, and now she’s running a grassroots campaign that rejects corporate PAC money. That’s how voters know she will fight for their interests, instead of doing the bidding of powerful donors. We are proud to have endorsed Deb and look forward to helping her win in November.”

ECU endorsed former Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland in January. She has promised to crack down on special interests in Santa Fe, require greater transparency for lobbyists, and enact structural reforms that crack down on state government corruption. During her tenure in Congress, she co-sponsored the For the People Act, which would have reduced the influence of Big Money in our political system and strengthened ethics rules.
