ECU Congratulates Rep. Chris Pappas on Winning the Democratic Primary for New Hampshire Senate

End Citizens United (ECU) President Tiffany Muller issued the following statement congratulating ECU-endorsed Representative Chris Pappas on winning the Democratic primary for U.S. Senate in New Hampshire:

“We’re thrilled to congratulate Congressman Chris Pappas on this win. New Hampshire families are tired of the corruption that has defined John Sununu’s career, and they’re ready for a leader who has a proven record of fighting rising costs. They voted for Rep. Pappas today because he is that leader. He has championed accountability by refusing corporate PAC money, tackling corporate greed, and always putting people first. We’re proud to be supporting Rep. Pappas and look forward to helping him win in November.”

ECU endorsed Rep. Pappas on the day he announced his Senate bid last year. ECU President Tiffany Muller joined Rep. Pappas for a roundtable in Manchester last month to discuss how to get dark money out of elections, and hosted a Substack conversation to help him launch his anti-corruption agenda in June. Rep. Pappas has consistently fought for working families and taken on the power of Big Money in politics. He is a champion for reforms like the Freedom to Vote Act, a sweeping anti-corruption bill that would stop billionaires and corporations from buying our elections, shine a light on dark money, end partisan gerrymandering, defend ballot box access, and strengthen ethics laws.

Rep. Pappas has also joined ECU’s Unrig Washington program, alongside more than 280 Democratic candidates committed to rejecting corporate PAC money, supporting a ban on congressional stock trading, and cracking down on dark money in politics. Meanwhile, John Sununu took full advantage of the revolving door last time he left Congress and has repeatedly prioritized enriching himself over serving New Hampshire.
