Savage, MN — On Tuesday, July 21, End Citizens United (ECU), a leading national anti-corruption organization, hosted a roundtable alongside Minnesota State Representative Kaela Berg and several local speakers.
The group discussed how rooting out corruption is the first step toward addressing affordability, in a conversation led by ECU President Tiffany Muller and Rep. Berg. In a year marked by ethics disputes and clashes with the federal government, Minnesotans shared their firsthand experiences of the impact of Republican corruption. They have seen prices go up on prescription purchases, utility bills, and grocery receipts because too many politicians in Congress are protecting their corporate donors.
ECU endorsed Rep. Berg for Minnesota’s 2nd Congressional District in April, citing her advocacy for working families in the state legislature and in her flight attendant union. She's committed to rooting out corruption so Congress can focus on delivering real wins and lowering costs for everyday people. As part of ECU’s Unrig Washington program, Rep. Berg joins over 250 Democratic candidates in rejecting corporate PAC money, supporting a ban on congressional stock trading, and promising to crack down on dark money in politics.
