End Citizens United Endorses Fred Wellman in Missouri’s 2nd Congressional District

End Citizens United (ECU), a leading national anti-corruption organization, today endorsed Fred Wellman in Missouri’s 2nd Congressional District. As part of ECU’s Unrig Washington program, Wellman rejects corporate PAC money, supports a ban on congressional stock trading, and commits to helping get dark money out of elections.

"Corruption isn't abstract in Missouri, it shows up at the grocery store, at the pharmacy, in every bill that keeps climbing while special interests and wealthy donors keep winning,” said End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller. “Fred Wellman is running to change that. He rejects corporate PAC money because he answers to Missouri families, not to the powerful interests that have been calling the shots. Fred Wellman has had a lifetime of service, serving multiple tours with the military and then working to secure investments for the veteran community. He later led the Lincoln Project and created a media platform that helps elevate reform-minded political candidates. Wellman is part of Unrig Washington, joining more than 285 Democratic candidates committed to rejecting corporate PAC money, supporting a ban on congressional stock trading, and cracking down on dark money in politics.
