PRESS RELEASE

End Citizens United Congratulates Roy Cooper on Senate Win in North Carolina

End Citizens United (ECU) President Tiffany Muller issued the following statement celebrating ECU-endorsed Senator-elect Roy Cooper’s election in North Carolina:

“Congratulations to Senator-elect Roy Cooper on his incredible win. His plan to crack down on corruption in Washington became a pillar of his campaign because working families are tired of footing the bill for a broken system. Senator-elect Cooper has been a lifelong champion for North Carolinians. We look forward to working with him as he heads to the Senate to help bring down costs and fight for much-needed change.”

ECU endorsed Senator-elect Roy Cooper, who made anti-corruption reform a centerpiece of his campaign and often invoked his record of holding greedy corporations accountable. As governor, he was a national leader in defending the right to vote and taking on predatory lenders. As he heads to the Senate, he is bringing his strong record of standing up against Big Pharma, Wall Street, and other special interests looking to line their own pockets at the expense of North Carolinians.
