PRESS RELEASE

ECU Congratulates No Corporate PAC Candidate Manny Rutinel on Winning in Colorado’s 8th District

End Citizens United (ECU) President Tiffany Muller issued the following statement celebrating ECU-endorsed Representative-elect Manny Rutinel’s victory:

“Congratulations to Representative-elect Manny Rutinel on a critical win. Colorado voters saw right through the corruption of Gabe Evans. They know Rep.-elect Rutinel is ready to bring accountability to Congress because he’s never taken a dime of corporate PAC money and promised to take on the special interests hurting working families. We’re proud he joined the 300 No Corporate PAC Democrats on Unrig Washington, and we are fired up to work alongside him.”

Rep.-elect Manny Rutinel campaigned on his record of fighting large corporations and his plan to crack down on corruption in Washington, earning him ECU’s endorsement. ECU named Gabe Evans to its 2026 Most Corrupt Politicians List and made Evans’ corrupt record the subject of a town hall in Adams County earlier this year. Meanwhile, Rep.-elect Rutinel is one of 300 Democrats who joined the Unrig Washington program this year by committing to reject corporate PAC money, support a ban on congressional stock trading, and crack down on dark money in politics.
