PRESS RELEASE

End Citizens United Congratulates No Corporate PAC Champion Senator Jon Ossoff on Reelection

End Citizens United (ECU) President Tiffany Muller issued the following statement celebrating ECU-endorsed Senator Jon Ossoff’s reelection victory in Georgia:

“Congratulations to Senator Ossoff on his big reelection. He made corruption the top issue in his campaign and sailed to victory by focusing on his strong track record of championing government reform. He has set the standard on accountability by refusing corporate PAC money from day one and taking on the pay-to-play culture in Washington that has led to higher costs. Senator Ossoff is exactly the kind of leader the Senate needs more of. We’re proud he was one of over 300 No Corporate PAC Democrats who joined Unrig Washington, and we are fired up to continue working alongside him to build a government that serves people, not billionaires and corporations.”

Senator Jon Ossoff had ECU’s endorsement in this race. Ossoff was a member of Unrig Washington alongside more than 300 Democratic candidates committed to rejecting corporate PAC money, supporting a ban on congressional stock trading, and cracking down on dark money in politics.

Senator Ossoff is one of the nation’s leading voices on fighting corruption and holding elected officials accountable. He has repeatedly exposed Washington's pay-to-play culture and championed reforms to end the stranglehold corporate special interests have on Congress. His Ban Corporate PACs Act would end corporate PAC money in elections and limit corporations' influence over members of Congress. He has also led the charge to ban congressional stock trading.
