PRESS RELEASE

End Citizens United Congratulates Senator-Elect Sherrod Brown

End Citizens United (ECU) President Tiffany Muller issued the following statement celebrating ECU-endorsed Senator-elect Sherrod Brown’s victory in the Ohio Senate race:

“Congratulations to Senator-elect Sherrod Brown on an incredible win. Ohioans sent him back to the Senate because they trust him to clean up corruption in Washington and always put their interests first. He is going to take on the issues that matter most to working families, like bringing down the devastating cost of living and taking on corporate greed. We look forward to working with him in the Senate again to pass transformative anti-corruption legislation.”

ECU endorsed Senator-elect Sherrod Brown because he has been a national leader for getting Big Money out of politics. He has pushed for legislation to limit corporate influence in government and crack down on corruption in Washington. He supported a number of reform bills, including the Freedom to Vote Act, the Democracy For All Amendment, the Spotlight Act, and the DISCLOSE Act. He also co-sponsored legislation to ban members of Congress from trading individual stock and introduced a bill to stop Federal Reserve officials from profiting off their positions.
