PRESS RELEASE

ECU Congratulates No Corporate PAC Candidate Cait Conley on Winning in New York’s 17th District

End Citizens United (ECU) President Tiffany Muller issued the following statement celebrating ECU-endorsed Representative-elect Cait Conley’s victory:

“Congratulations to Rep.-elect Cait Conley on flipping this seat. She has a long record of serving her country and ran a campaign centered on the simple idea that government should answer to the people, not wealthy special interests. As one of the 300 Democrats who joined Unrig Washington, she refused to take a dime of corporate PAC money even while her opponent was swimming in it. We look forward to working with Rep.-elect Conley as she brings an impactful reform agenda to Washington.”

ECU endorsed Rep.-elect Cait Conley, supported her campaign by holding a town hall with her the week before Election Day, and hosted her for a Substack interview about anti-corruption reform. She leaned into this message throughout her campaign and drew a strong contrast against Mike Lawler, whom ECU called out on its 2026 Most Corrupt Politicians List. Rep.-elect Conley also joined the Unrig Washington program alongside more than 300 Democratic candidates committed to rejecting corporate PAC money, supporting a ban on congressional stock trading, and cracking down on dark money in politics.
