PRESS RELEASE

End Citizens United Congratulates Iowa Governor-Elect Rob Sand on Victory

End Citizens United (ECU) President Tiffany Muller issued the following statement celebrating ECU-endorsed Iowa Governor-elect Rob Sand’s victory:

“Congratulations to Governor-elect Rob Sand on an impressive win. He ran this campaign the right way: listening to voters throughout the state and championing reforms that will root out corruption and bring down costs. On the campaign trail, he made it clear that he’ll prioritize ending the pay-to-play politics that has made government unresponsive to everyday people. Now he’s taking that fight to the governor's office, and we are excited to see the progress he makes.”

Governor-elect Rob Sand earned ECU’s endorsement as he campaigned on his record of exposing and cracking down on government waste as State Auditor. Anti-corruption reform was central to his platform, building on his success in uncovering $29 million in misspent state funds and creating programs to improve local government efficiency. He has emphasized his efforts to hold politicians of both parties accountable, a commitment he will now bring to his role as governor.
