PRESS RELEASE

ECU Congratulates No Corporate PAC Candidate Troy Jackson on Huge Senate Win in Maine

End Citizens United (ECU) President Tiffany Muller issued the following statement celebrating ECU-endorsed Senator-elect Troy Jackson’s victory in Maine:

“Congratulations to Senator-elect Jackson on ending three decades of Susan Collins’ corruption. Mainers rewarded his promise to take on pay-to-play corruption in the Senate and fight for a government that serves working people, not special interests. His win means that corporations no longer have a stranglehold over this Senate seat, and they lose influence over policy outcomes. We’re proud he was one of 300 No Corporate PAC Democrats who joined Unrig Washington and look forward to working with him in the coming years.”

ECU endorsed Senator-elect Troy Jackson and spent $1 million on an ad buy to help get him across the finish line in this critical race. ECU President Tiffany Muller campaigned for him heading into the election during a town hall focused on the cost of corruption with Senator Elizabeth Warren. ECU also named Susan Collins to its 2026 Most Corrupt Politicians List and worked to expose her betrayal of Maine families in service of her donors. Senator-elect Jackson also joined Unrig Washington alongside more than 300 Democratic candidates committed to rejecting corporate PAC money, supporting a ban on congressional stock trading, and cracking down on dark money in politics.

He leaned into a powerful anti-corruption narrative throughout his campaign to unseat Senator Collins. His platform focused on ending the outsized influence of billionaires and corporations in politics, drawing on his two decades in the Maine State Legislature where he fought daily to lower costs and advocate for a government that serves working families.
