PRESS RELEASE

ECU Congratulates No Corporate PAC Candidate Lindsay James on Winning in Iowa’s 2nd District

End Citizens United (ECU) President Tiffany Muller issued the following statement celebrating ECU-endorsed Representative-elect Lindsay James’ victory:

“We’re excited to congratulate Representative-elect Lindsay James on an incredible win. She is laser-focused on making Washington more accountable to Iowa communities, and voters rewarded that message. They know she’ll be a champion for working families because she joined Unrig Washington with over 300 No Corporate PAC Democrats. She’s going to be a key ally in the fight to root out the corruption in our political system that has made it impossible to tackle rising costs. We’re proud to have supported her campaign and look forward to working with her.”

ECU endorsed Rep.-elect Lindsay James and invested in a mail program to help elect her. ECU hosted several campaign events with her including a Dubuque town hall, two press conferences the week before the election, and a live interview about tackling corruption. Rep.-elect James also joined Unrig Washington alongside more than 300 Democratic candidates committed to rejecting corporate PAC money, supporting a ban on congressional stock trading, and cracking down on dark money in politics. She made anti-corruption reform a centerpiece of her platform, advocating for a government that serves the people rather than powerful special interests.
