PRESS RELEASE

ECU Congratulates No Corporate PAC Candidate Denise Powell on Winning in Nebraska’s 2nd District

End Citizens United (ECU) President Tiffany Muller issued the following statement celebrating ECU-endorsed Rep.-elect Denise Powell’s victory:

“Congratulations to Representative-elect Denise Powell on a well-earned win. She understands that Congress is only answering to its biggest donors and leaving everyone else behind. That’s why her campaign focused on rooting out corruption and fighting for a system that puts working families first. Nebraskans are ready for change, and they know that she will fight for them. We’re proud she was one of the 300 No Corporate PAC candidates who joined Unrig Washington, and we look forward to working with her in Congress.”

Rep.-elect Denise Powell was endorsed by ECU and joined the Unrig Washington program, alongside more than 300 candidates committed to rejecting corporate PAC money, supporting a ban on congressional stock trading, and cracking down on dark money in politics. She ran a campaign focused on lowering costs by reforming a corrupt system that only serves billionaires and wealthy interests.
