PRESS RELEASE

ECU Congratulates No Corporate PAC Candidate Christina Hines on Winning in Michigan’s 10th District

End Citizens United (ECU) President Tiffany Muller issued the following statement celebrating ECU-endorsed Representative-elect Christina Hines’ victory:

“Representative-elect Christina Hines secured a huge win by making it clear she will put people over special interests. She knows that billionaire and corporate influence in Washington has stalled progress on the biggest issues working families face. That’s why she never took a single corporate PAC check in this race alongside 300 Democrats who joined Unrig Washington and campaigned on unrigging a broken system that puts donors over voters. We look forward to working with Rep.-elect Hines to bring reform to Congress.”

ECU endorsed Rep.-elect Christina Hines and made an investment in digital ads to help elect her in this critical race. Ahead of the election, ECU President Tiffany Muller kicked off a volunteer appreciation event for Rep.-elect Hines and hosted her for a live Substack interview about fighting corruption. She also joined Unrig Washington alongside more than 300 Democratic candidates committed to rejecting corporate PAC money, supporting a ban on congressional stock trading, and cracking down on dark money in politics.

Rep.-elect Hines has been a voice for accountability and an advocate for the most vulnerable members of her community, serving as a prosecutor on sexual assault and child abuse cases. She made tackling corruption a centerpiece of her campaign for Congress.
